BlackBerry Torch2

I think we have wires crossed, the playbook will have access to the android app store, that's what I meant, android apps not google apps. I think that's what robbo was replying to anyway..

I thought that the Dalvik virtual machine required to run "android" apps is open source, so they don't need googles permission to use it ... the only thing is that google can restrict is the Android Market, so RIM will need devs to publish their apps on a supported App store.
So anywaay, atm it's only the Playbook that supports it, but i can't see any reason why they can't do the same for their smartphones too, especially once QNX finally arrives on them.

All I want its a nice KB under the screen (not slide to the side) and a good screen.

At the moment I carry my Nokia E72 and a iPhone4 so I would like to keep just the one phone with me.

I will take a look at the Pre3 Thanks

Woot, another low end smartphone that chumps are going to pay through the nose for, gg rim.

Yup not as different as Android or iphones;)...low end??...its got a 1.2 ghz cpu, isnt that what some Androids are running at the moment??...of course thats lower than some Androids but there are low end Androids people pay thru the nose for:p...they will be similarly priced as most other smartphones on contracts;).

It's on general release mid month. I honestly think they made the torch as a snap reaction to other OS designs and generally the standard BB format in the 9900 has resulted in a more solid handset.

If you like BlackBerry's its pretty much your only option if you want a half decent browsing experience.

3.2" is just going to be too small imo :(

What would you say about browsing on a BB now, Robbo? :p

Admittedly it could be better with a larger screen on the 9900 but it's damn good.

so I bought the 9900 today I don't really like spending money on phones so it was a big step for me :)

Can I copy contracts form my SD card to the phone?

I dont see why you cant....see if it works??

What phone you coming from??...if its another BB then use the BB desktop manager and do a device switch, that will copy your contacts along with any other data from your old device to your new one.

Im coming form a nokia E72, I backup all my contrast to the SD card but I don't see any option to restore from memory card in the BB.
