I finally got past the 03 error code on the POST led, it didnt recognise my Q9550 but i bought a fairly cheap E2180, so i built the pc up outside the case with:
psu connections
cpu/heatink/fan
1 stick of ram
graphics card
hard drive
usb keyboard/mouse
now when i boot im getting error code 61, which i cant seem to figure out means. when i press the power button and it does all the POST checks, just before it gets to error 61 i hear the hard drive click slightly, the hard drive worked fine before and although im aware clicking noises could mean its dying, i must know for certain what error code 61 description is! i also tried it with no hard drive sata connections and still no difference, so i have to rule out the hard drive
any ideas anybody? the only thing im thinking is the memory, as others have had problems.
