I managed to run Crysis and CoD 4 at reasonable settings with my E6300 C2D and a 6800 card.

This however, runs in an absolutely terrible fashion.

It's totally unplayable on my system. I must be getting around 1fps.

I'm downloading the patch just now to see if that helps.

The options you have within the game menus Video Settings are rather constricting. I would love to be able to switch off the motion blur stuff, but it doesn't appear to allow you to do so.

Has anyone got any advice on how to try and squeeze a bit more fps out of this, editing a cfg or ini file somewhere perhaps?.

Otherwise, it looks like this crud will be getting uninstalled and returned to where it was bought.

I know my system is "old hat" now, but I expected to be able to run this game at low settings at least.

ok found quite a few bugs, if you try to configure keys then you can't reload weapons in game, also sometimes crosshair will disappear...

What is with the crap games these days, This and SoF3 could have been good. Wasted opportunities.

Yeah I think this game isn't actually bad now that I have played it a bit more, but as I said the timing couldn't be worse. Most people who say this game is crap don't even have this game and just going by what others have said.

I'd have a read of that before anyone considers the game. Despite the initial 360 demo, which I thought was pretty good, I just saw it as yet another 'fps of the month' type affair so avoided it.

Been playing it since yesterday and it is not that bad at all. Just the usual crap people say about games being bad based on what others say. As usual most of the reviews are not that accurate.

Gameplay is no more repetitive than Crysis (just run shoot, clear rooms, drive vehicles and repeat) and the UT3 graphics are excellent in places with a few locations which I have never seen in FPSes before. Have yet to encounter any major bugs either other than turning round and seeing 1 of my squad walk through a vehicle like it was not there or ammunition floating a few inches from the ground!

It does however slowdown badly sometimes even on an 8800GTX + X6800. I would say the game could have used a little more tweaking before release but it is unlikely to get any major fixes now. Am on patch 1.2 BTW.

After a bit of searching it seems that the patch is for the US version of the game only - other versions get the 'file not found' error. Why they haven't released other versions I don't know...

I'm guessing his copy was a cheeky torrent one.

If anyone figures out how to install the 1.2 patch on a genuine UK version of the game, please let me know.

Just finished playing Blacksite, overall I didnt think it was such a bad game just seems to judder a lot which i guess is when its loading data. A bit too linear but was ok to play.
