I just literally bought a used 6950xt for £380 after selling my 4090 (for more than I bought it). It's a heckuva card, plays everything I need at 4k and runs cooler than I thought it would. I did a quick run down of the games I was playing, and there's been literally 9% of my time over the last year when I've needed more than a 6950xt to play highest settings at 4k. It was utterly striking how much a 4090 was wasted on me, and how little value I got out of it when running the numbers. If that turns out to be true, my 6950XT(paid 444 quid before tax 1½ years ago) will be the best bang for buck I've ever gotten out of a GPU as I will most likely continue using it instead of "upgrading". Pretty insane to think about, how meh 4000/7000 series has been and we now are looking into another generation of meh outside of paying stupid money.
I'll likely upgrade next gen, but very little reason to at present. At present, I'm most interested in 8800zt (or whatever they call it): >7900xt raster with ~30% better raytracing for £550 sounds like a goldilocks card.
