They'll keep the gaming card department at Nvidia around forever.

It's essentially their marketing department at this point. They haven't even announced anything yet and the entire PC enthusiast community has been on fire talking about them for the past month. Every day there's a new headline. Nvidia this, Nvidia that.

Nvidia bad, Nvidia good, the important thing is that people are talking about them.

I wouldn't mind all that if they toned their greed down, It's gone way over the top.

They could have market dominance and still rake in mountains of cash without charging a kidney.
That's the problem with a market situation which is functionally a monopoly. You can charge what you like and people who want the product will have no choice but to pay. There's no way the PS5 PRO would have cost so much with genuine competition from MS.

Can't wait to see all the different brands designs.

Anyone getting a 5080/5090 are you loyal to a board partner or flexible? I'm leaning to the fe but MSI and Asus usually have great designs/components. I do like the leaked Gaming Trio design already.

Is there an updated list? It's a great resource but the OP is over 20 years old.

If the 5080 FE comes in at £999 I'll get t on finance around June or July after my new job starts. If it's any more than £999 then Jensen can lovingly suckle on a satchel of severed Johnsons.

"If demand decreases, prices will fall."

Just don't buy them. You're welcome

Would they though? Wouldn't Nvidia just rebadge the same GPU's and sell them to datacentre/AI etc clients for even more money? I really get the impression that they don't give two hoots about gaming cards, because each one sold as a gaming GPU is missed revenue to the unquenchable demand from datacentres/AI

They can sell 4090's with 24GB extra memory, call it an RTX6000 and sell it for £6000+, if push came to shove I highly doubt they'd have any issue just rebadging all their gaming cards, give em a little more memory and charge thousands more per card to AI companies and data centres.
