Bladerunner - The Final Cut - Pre Orders

Ok we get that you like it... but thats a little far fetched. I'd say Starwars was more influential, fast forward a couple of decades and The Matrix is again more influential (considering that bullet time is probably in almost all films and some TV series since).

As said above, many people both inside and outside the industry do explain why Blade Runner was such an important film and just how influential it has been.
Star Wars on the other hand, when you look at it is a "Fairy Tale in Space" - the story had been told many times before, just never in space before.
Don't get me wrong, Star Wars is important, and many, many people will tell you how much they enjoyed it and how it still remains on their "favourite movies" list - however as an important or influential movie it doen't often rate.

Fantastic movie, I have the 'original' director's cut DVD from back in the nineties. Horrible print quality. Shame once again region 2 gets shafted compared to region 1.

I'm actually reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep at the moment.

is this that film with han solo from star trek in? I watched the start where they talk about that guys mother. It was pretty good but I had to go out and dont believe in vcrs so I didnt tape it.

Until you talk to special effects guys.

Many of the effects used during the filming of ANH were created for ANH. Hence the existance of Industrial Light and Magic.

Still the best SFX house imo.

Yep final cut. It's been a while since I've watched the film so it would be hard for me to comment conclusively on what was added or taken out. But I definitely noticed a few slightly different scenes. I'd almost like to be able to watch a DVD copy of the directors so I could see the differences.

Pre-ordered the 5 disc set for £17.99 was the cheapest i could find. Hope its worth it as i like the film and hope the diff cuts are a diff watch between em all well enough to warrent the watch of all of em. Id probably have a night of brunner when i get it.

Really hoped there was a ending where u saw decker leaving with replicants like in the pc game of BR in the "final cut". But cant see that happening.

Shame we will never again see films like this anymore as these were the best films to watch esp compared to modern day crap.

watched this at the cinema yesterday, boosted the experience for myself seeing it in digital and having the cinema sound, absolutely loved it.

you lot have been taken for fools by clever flashy marketing which has enticed you into believing your getting something you have not already seen before. how many times do they have to re hash the same film and sell it to you as a a new enthralling piece of art.

listen, i love the film but all this hysteria over something which isn't new.

ooh a cool new directors special narrative over a scene we never thought was good enough to put in the in the original cut.

all new special never seen before special important new camera angles that gives you more insight into the life of someone we originally cut out.


5 extra notes in the main theme tune , never heard before , and neither has vangelis.

extra extra read all about it backdrops that will make you forget who you are and why its important to swallow a mouth full of popcorn.
