bleeding Fatal1ty headset

hi i have the standard jack fatal1ty headset from creative and i cannont get the mic to work at all, i have tried every thing i can think of has anyone else had problems?

i have downloaded new drivers release date 03-03-09

i have creative audigy sb card

This may sound silly, but if you have another set of 5mm-jack ports on the side/top/front of your case, try using those, I had the very same problem with my medusa's and that was the reason why xD

mine use to work, but now the mic dosent work. i had to get another mic and just use them as headphones now.
dont know ware to replace the mic part of it.

Is there a mic boost option?

Have you made sure the mic is plugged into the headset properly? Mine was playing up last night and it turned out to be a loose connection.

May sound stupid - but I had the same problem. Make sure the mic hasn't come slightly unseated from where the boom meets the earpiece. it plugs in (so it can be removed presumably).

I totally forgot that it detached and so spent hours trying to figure what was wrong with main jack. Threw it down in frustration and off popped the mic...

You're probably not as silly as me, but just in case...

check it is connected to the detacheable bit properly, and also check the switch on the in-line controls
