Blender Crashing

I'm using the 3D modelling software "Blender". Whenever I go the user preferences tab the program crashes on me.

My laptops specs are :

64 Bit Windows 7 Home Premium
x2 Intel U4100 1.30GHz
4GB RAM
500GB HDD
Mobile Intel (R) 4 series chipset family.

Not sure what's wrong.

Have you checked the Application Events in the Event Viewer in Windows?

Looks like there's not much that can be done without affecting the speed of blender

Thinking of building a proper gaming/editing PC soon so I guess I'll wait until then.
