The postage charges have put me right off. The blades starting price alone is frankly more than I would be happy paying, but asking for $307.82 for delivery?! Hell to the NO!

Also why is it cheaper for me to have a blade sent from America than from France? Delivery is only $115.05 from US auctions!

US servers would be in the US...not France

Perhaps even the EU ones were 're-patronised' to the US for decommission or simply to be used there before EOL?

They are in france now, the 307 is the price to ship to US, it's closer to 100 to have them sent to UK.

I think it's a great idea personally. I wouldn't buy one as I never got that far into WoW but there are people willing to pay top money for one and it's a good cause.

I bet people will pay crazy amounts for these. A great cause too - used to eat lunch in St Judes with my gf when I went to visit here for a month or so. An incredibly moving place, espeically because the doctors, researchers, patients all eat lunch together. Some really moving scenes in that place

This would definitely sell a lot of money! A lot of famous people are playing WoW, don't see why wouldn't they want to help a charity event

Very high end, high availability data-centres, probably some of the better ones a server could ever hope to be with extremely high maintenance. I bet you could easily disk them up and slot them in a chassis and fire them up.

Nobody will buy them to use though. Not sure where the idea comes from that they will be shagged. I know of G1 and G2 HP servers still in use now, which live in pits...comparably.

I am the highest bidder on one of the European realms, but I will get easily outbid. Wife who loves WOW just didn't understand why we should have one. Would look cool mounted on the wall.
