Is this possible? If so, can someone please tell me how.

I finally got round to fixing my old school 360 and have set it up in the living room so I can stream films to it... Now, the issue lies in I don't want it getting internet activity when it's on. However I want it to be able to connect to my PC through my route?

I have a pretty crap router, a Thomson 585v7 (Be* box).

So if anyone has done something like this before, would be fantastic to let me know.

Thanks

p.s. my networking skills are a little under the weather, so explain lightly :)

Assign it a static IP then restrict that IP's connectivity in your router settings?

Or just give it a load of rubbish for the IP settings so that when it tries to connect it just fails.

got something to hide from microsoft? :) content filtering for your router will probally just block webpages and leave other ports open.

Simply turn your pc into a access point using freetool obviously thats if you have wifi adapters for xbox and pc. If you dont your looking at same cost of buying a new router that has ip filtering.

I had a strange thing when trying to view a video the other day where my xbox needed internet connection to download an addon which i knew was already installed. so i just suspected a reporting feature of the codec.
