Blocking a wireless network in Android

I have a BTFON wireless network near me. It is open and as a result sometimes my tablet or phone will latch onto it.

It isn't really open as you have to login to use it. Is there anyway to permanently block my devices from connecting to it?

Go into the wireless settings and hold down the offending network - select forget.

I have done that and yet it keeps appearing back.

What phone / OS version?

On ICS, I get notifcations saying there are open networks, but will not connect to it unless I specifically ask it to. Maybe there's a setting to suggest auto-connect to open networks, I dunno...

If you've got the Vodafone app installed, it will sometimes automatically connect to OpenZone without being told to.
