Hello

I've got a request for a friend which I need your help with.

She manages 3 health clubs, but has discovered her staff spending a little too much time online (we're all guilty of it right? :D ) but due to the nature of the business she'd rather they were looking after people than surfing.

She's asked me if there's any software she can use to block all access to the web (IM programs etc) but still keep open company websites? I have no idea what is a good one to be honest I'd have just used firewalls etc myself but she's in Canada so I can't just pop round and she has no IT dept or anything.

Can you guys point me in the direction of some good, suitable software?

Thanks

If its a standalone machine then Netnanny would do the job. They could setup whats known as a "Whitelist" which will only allow sites in that list to be accessable.
Plus what Sone said too, making people sign a piece of paper to say that they will not misuse the company privelages such as internet etc ensures that you can disclipline them at a later date when they are caught doing it. It also means that the company should have some fallback should they surf unsavoury sites.
