As I previously said, but just to clarify, for a single box you can pay £20 to have it unplugged from the phone line. I still had free installation. That was a year ago but I haven't heard anything definite that's contrary to this since.
We have been billed £30 a month for 12 months for a box that was not connected to a phone line, on top of that we were also charged a full subscription, so in total we were billed £70 a month.
Now the interesting thing is the box in question was removed by sky and thus could not call home when they installed Sky HD and move the the Sky plus box to another room.
For some reason they thought we had three boxes and billed us for it.
Without any hassle surprisingly they have agreed to refund us.
