Just cracked open 3 eggs to make me some scrambled eggs, the last one I cracked had a big lump of bright red blood attached to the yolk. I tried to ignore it but I started feeling increasingly sick and ended up retching, so I threw the scrambled egg mixture away and had something else instead.
Is blood in eggs perfectly safe/normal or is it indicative of something more serious like salmonella/AIDS?
