Blood Red Hoses

Hey guys,

I am after some advice on finding some Blood Red Clear hoses, i am a bit wary of using coloured liquid and dyes, i was wondering if they do the same colour but in hose form?

Just to elaborate slightly - instead of just replying "yep"

Both Masterkleer and Primochill produce Red and Dark UV Red tubing which should fit the bill. OcUK only stock XSPC tubing, which does not come in Red.

Honestly my answer might have been short but it answered his question and would have been quicker to search himself than type and ask on here.

edit (because hangovers getting better)
i have used the primochill 1/2 tubing and it has nice thick walls, when i used xspc (though a different diameter 7/16) i found it to be crap, as stated above mastercleer and primochill both do a red, ive used red and black primochill and found it to be decent but its £6 a pop, id advise against using colored fluid or additives it just ends up staining everything anyway, best used for taking photos then swap it with some distilled/ionised water with a silver kill coil.

ok thanks Sayso, i did do some searching, but i was looking for personal experiences.

i did find some different tubing,, like fesser etc but they did not have the look i was going for. so i looked into Mayhems blood red dye, staining doesnt really bother me as long as the liquid does not turn cloudy, its the exact colour i was looking for,

i would avoid dyes tbh but if you are going to use them Mayhems is far better than any others, i have used various dyes (not Mayhems though as i decided colored tubing was better) on one rebuild i noticed the water was clear and my clear tubing/res/block had been dyed..and i thought i still had coloured water.
At least using mayhems it wont clog up your blocks like Feser fluids used to.

I think I will go for the dye, as long as it keeps the colour I don't mind staining as I will probably keep the colour scheme, providing it stays clear.

I find it hard to choose tubing, its difficult to see what they look like in the 'real' world, so far i don't like the look of any I have seen, so dye seems like the only way for me!

It wont.

that's the issue with Dyes... the tubes cloud and then stain the clouding

The only thing to do nowadays is get colored tubing and Distalled water, this way the blocks are not ruined by dye and the tube will never ruin :P
 
really? i thought it was the additives and pastels that did that, hmm.

Great, looks like il be doing a bit more digging!

I just love the colour of Mayhems Clear Blood Red!
 
Most if not all clear tube will leak plastic stuff into the water that is then collected on the tube walls as a white film, this is then stained red with a red dye.

This is why i always use a Blue hose.
 
is that the sole reason for tubing going cloudy? and which makes do not leak plastic stuff?

Also, will using a small amount of dye help reduce the effects?
 
Not to sound like a d**k or anything but I think what everyone's getting at is that clear tubing will cloud, and dyes will stain no matter what. So maybe the best bet is to get a solid colour hose? I was going to go with a black and red colour scheme but I've decided now that white black and red looks pretty nice, so when I do a custom loop I'll be getting solid white hoses.

Hope this helps make your mind up.

Its cool, all advice is welcome!
My options are completely open, I'm still going to aim for a blood red scheme for now, I will just have to do more searching and try and find a tube that fits the bill, anything less will keep me awake at night.

Thanks, ive been reading a bit further into the 'clouding' of clear tubes and from what i can tell is i need tubes that are DEHP (Derp) free or free of Plasticizers. which diagro pointed out above, easier said than done!

I will get there one day!
 
What tubing is that?

ive been looking into Tygon and Primochill Advanced LRT, both claim to be DEHP free, so hopefully its only light staining i need to worry about rather than cloudy tubes,
