Blu ray player qq

Was about to buy a Blu ray player for christmas (thanks for advice those who gave it)

I was going to buy a PANASONIC DMP-BDT210EB based on reviews and OC peoples advice.

But recently saw in a retail shop that they are selling a

TOSHIBA BDX2250KB Blu-ray Player

Reduced from £159.99 to £69.

sounds like a cracking deal, but is it any good/ as good as the panasonic?

Look at where it's for sale with the biggest apparent savings....Dix ons, Cur rys, PC Wo rld.

And what's the connection between the three sellers?...Answer: They're all owned by DSG - the Dixon Store Group. Coincidence???? I don't think so.

Is that player available to buy elsewhere? Yes - The rain forest place @ £100 and and a place that is manic about pix for £73 shipped.

Conclusion: It's marketing bollix. The DSG group have advertised it for sale for the required length of time at a ridiculously high price of £70-£100 above average so they can manufacture a supposed huge saving just in time for Christmas... How convenient is that .... Pass!!

It might be a good player, but the saving isn't real.
