blu ray problem

i have a belkin 3 way hdmi splitter. into it goes the sky hd box (works fine through onto HDMI 1 on the tv), and the blu ray LG BD550 also goes into it.

it won't play the bluray through the belkin - last week was fine. tried connecting it using different cables (including the one i use for sky), and different ports on the belkin (1, 2, or 3 as 3 inputs)

won't come on through the belkin any more but comes on when going through hdmi 2 on the tv just fine.

i've updated the bluray using the internet connection since the error to no avail as i was hoping an update would sort it.

any ideas? very bizarre....
 
Well i just googled it and got this from a review,

'The switcher is fully HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compliant so works with newer devices such as Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD players that demand the technology'.

So that rules that out. On the same review it says there is a problem if you use the remote control to switch between the HDMI inputs but if you use the button on the splitter it works fine. Just thought i would share that in case that is the problem.
 
tried switching it using the box to eliminate the remote - nothing. weird thing is i can play it through the tv fine - through the box = no.

the anoying thing is a week ago it worked fine then this - but the sky hd box works through all 3 inputs no problem!!!


i just don't get it.... has the box broken but why does the sky work through it? lol
