Blu-Ray

Off the top of my head:

1) Sin City
2) 300
3) Avatar
4) Anything Pixar (Wall-E, Up, Monsters Inc, etc)
5) Planet Earth (BBC TV Series)
6) Iron Man 1 & 2
7) I, Robot
8) I am Legend
9) Black Hawk Down
10) Star Trek
11) Transformers 1 + 2

Edit:- WOOT 5k posts!

Knubje - I wouldn't recommend 300 on blu-ray, I found it just amplified the post processed film grain. :( All the others I'd suggest!

I'd like to add "Batman: The Dark Knight" as it will occupy full 1920x1080 screen ratio at times. V cool!

What he said + Dark Knight.

The Terminator 2 skynet edition is nice to (and cheap, you'll find it for £6/7)

I felt Sunshine was fab on Bluray.
300, despite the grain, has some great moments.
The Dark Knight is a obvious choice
The Fifth Element: Remastered is a great transfer
The Final Cut of bladerunner, in comparison to it's DVD counterpart, is phenomenal.
District 9, cos i like it

didnt think Pan's Labyrinth transfer was that great tbh

would recommend - Batman Begins, Adventures of Baron Munchausen

and BLADE RUNNER (sorry sorry forgot it - possibly one of the best PQ wise)

in addition to shortriky's selection here are other must have blu rays with exceptional PQ for demo - and pretty damn good movies too imo

2001 *(reference of how to transfer older movies to blu ray - difference from DVD is very significant)
apocalypto
baraka
blade runner *(reference of how to transfer older movies to blu ray - difference from DVD is very significant)
braveheart
die hard 4.0 *(average movie at best but PQ is stunning)
gladiator *(the brand new remastered version ofc)
island, the
king kong *(average movie at best but PQ is stunning)
patriot, the
pirates of carribean trilogy
sunshine
tropic thunder
troy

PS planet earth is ok, but completely overhyped imo. on big screens it just doesn't stack up in terms of PQ or AQ. if you want documentaries then Baraka and Grand Canyon Adventure IMAX are far superior
