Hi all I have an issue.

Just under a week ago me HD failed.
I got a new one from OCUK and installed it.
I did a few speed tests and some times it feels a little slow but was told its normal.
I did a health check on the HD eg Disk check, bad sectors etc etc all seemed fine.

Well today I was using PC and got a BSOD I did not catch the full error bu was some thing like

Page file blah blah C/win system 32.

Please advise is this my new HD dieing all ready?.

All so could one tell me if there is a crash dump I could upload for you tech peeps who understand them :)

Thanks

Have a look in Event Viewer. This keeps logs of all errors/BSOD's etc. It will also tell you the BSOD code from the crash which should point you toward the cause.

Could it just have been the demo I was playing I mean could bad code cause a BSOD like that?.

Your memory could be fine. The BSOD code is a pointer but not necessarily the true cause. If memtest passes ok then I'd be looking at the HD as that was the last hardware change. As Idleman suggested, check your page file as this can cause BSOD's when it's off or too low. Windows should set it for you, but you never know.
