Blue Screenage

I got a blue screen on one of my Windows 7 boxes the other day, when I try to run a system recovery using a Windows 7 instal disc, I get this error...

Anything I can do to recover from this?

I don't have a recent backup of this machine and would like not to have to go through the hassle of reinstalling everything and recompiling missing docs etc.

First thing i would be doing is running memtest to test the ram and getting the data from hard drive backed up via a second pc.

Or use something like ubuntu from a dvd/usb to gain access to drive if no second pc available.

Also check that the media itself is ok and the dvd drive isnt faulty.

as postmanfw said run memtest to check your ram.

failing that you can go down to one stick of memory and see if it boots, if it fails change the stick till you can get it to boot as this should help narrow down the faulty memory. if it still doesn't boot try a different slot on the motherboard and repeat.

I will run memtest and see what happens. I can't boot into Windows on that machine to back up, just keep getting blue screen.
