are these any good, my mate has just ordered one for his 2900xt he has just bought from me, with a 4200 x2 amd and 1dvd rom and 2xhdd's. Not sure what ram he has

They are made by FSP and are fairly decent PSUs, I don't know how much your mate paid so I can't say if it is a good deal but they are solid enough.
