But the 360 hasn't failed as I explained, they've continued to cut away at Sony's share of the 'hardcore' gaming market. You must see how Sony coming from a position of strength with the PS2 is different to Microsoft from the Xbox?
Sony didn't have the hardcore gaming market, they had huge numbers of casual gamers. The casual gamers who have now bought a Wii (and most will be wondering why)

It has made blu ray the market leader, and likely the only one left fighting, in the HD optical storage.
It has sold more than the 360 in its first year, despite the amount of fanboys on forums like this and in the press.
They are probably on target to avertake MS with online subscribers this year (not going by accurate figures, but i would be surprised if they didn't)
