Now i've bought a new TV finally, Samsung 37" Series 6 LCD, what's a good blueray going around, panasonic one looks nice, price really up to £200 no more to be honest, thanks.

I bought Sony's cheap and chearfull S350, and its got very nice picture quality, couldnt be happier to be honest, sound is great too. Simple to use, supports Profile 2 (memory stick required to save data)

It's also very green, using just a few watts while playing bluray's. a lot more power friendly than a PS3. Panny's model is good to, but most Panny players only have optical SP/DIF, I require Coaxial SP/DIF for my AV processor.

ive just bought a BDP1600 Samsung to go with my samsung plasma got it for £139.99, it was a choice between that or the panny bd35 but i got a good deal and was impressed with the loading times on the samsung :)

Loading times are insanely quick on the Sony S350 too, its rare that a disk doesnt load and get to the main menu in less than 10 seconds or so. Quite amusing on the disks which print up "loading may take several minutes" and then pouf its at the menu :).

PS3 used to be the winner for load speeds, but the standalone players have beaten it there now. PS3 is still a great machine, but if you arnt interested in the games, and you dont need a media hub, then a standalone bluray makes sence.

Ok cool, i'll choose between the panasonic/sony then, also looking to get a 5.1 sound system, Sony DAV looks quite nice, any thoughts on that one?

I'd go for the Samsung BDP1500 or better, i've got one with my 40" Full HD Samsung LCD and its quite a good blueray player, also it means you have the AInet integration etc.
