I'm looking to broaden my blues landscape a bit. My personal favourite style is for the electric blues rock like Hendrix or Stevie Ray. Any other suggestions would be awesome!

To kick it off here's some of my own favourites.
Gales Brothers:

Hendrix

Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble

Ash Grunwald

Clutch

R.L. Burnside

Tom Richardson

Kim Churchill

Mr John Lee Hooker

Muddy Waters

I'll stop there but if there's anyone that you lot think is work checking out chuck em in here!

I was about to suggest Clutch but I wasn't sure if they fitted the bill.

Excellent band, their album "Jam Room" is probably the most bluesy.

Listen to the early clutch stuff, they were a hardcore band in the style of helmet and unsane. Quite a transformation!

On a related note, my dad told me his favourite band used to be the groundhogs, were they good? I've never heard mention of them anywhere else.

No I've never heard of them but I'll give them a listen for sure. I thrash out Blast Tyrant and Robot Hive all the time. Brilliant driving music!

Walter Trout, Robin Trower ('Bridge Of Sighs' is a must if you like Hendrix), John Mayall, Gary Moore, Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher (as mentioned above, 'Irish Tour '74' is mental).

Has this been translated from another language?

Need to have a proper look through this later when home!

None of you guys like a bit of old BB King? Must admit I can spend a long time sifting through the stuff I don't like to find some tunes I absolutely love

Need to get back into playing
