I've had my build about 5 months now and over the last week I've started to get at least 2 or 3 bluescreens a day. It usually happens when the computer is idle, however just now I witnessed it for the first time whilst playing a game. I'm pretty clueless as to what the problem is, can anyone help? Thanks

I'm confident it can't be overheating.

What drivers you using,a few of the more recent driver releases have been causing users BSOD/freezes randomly(me included)

You beat me to it MD!

I was going to say, have you recently updated anything? It could be a bad driver update or even a RAM problem. Try running bluescreen view to find out what crashed. It might help to identify if it's hardware or drivers.

Also, what PSU have you got, just in case it's relevant?

The RAM isn't set to XMP in the BIOS, unless it actually is a 1333MHz rated kit. That shouldn't matter really, but out of curiosity you could try setting XMP and see if it makes any difference.

Yeah, I changed the RAM setting and it bluescreened sometime when I wandered off for half an hour. Is there any program I can use to find the specific cause?

I don't know why I didn't consider it before but after checking "blue screen view" the spree of BSOD started when I installed a Razer Deathadder on Monday. Could this really be a possible cause? I've uninstalled synapse and I'll see what happens.

124 bsod is not enough cpu voltage,if it continuous then it can be not enough memory controller voltage (vccsa/vccio/cpu vtt) not sure on haswell maybe analogue/digi io

can you list your pc components?

I posted them in the speccy above.

Here is my PSU

As I mentioned in my post above, is it just a coincidence that this all started happening when I installed the deathadder?

sorry im blind

if its doing it sitting idle on desktop it could be the power saving but it shouldn't really affect things

have you enabled xmp profile for your memory? also flashed the board to latest bios version?

124 bsod is 100% not enough cpu or memory controller voltage though

Yeah, someone mentioned ITT about enabling the xmp, so I did it. I still get the random BSOD. I've updated everything on my motherboard as well from the gigabyte app center. Are there separate updates I can get from accessing the BIOS on startup?

try without xmp see if that helps, some boards are less stable with xmp,and you might find better stability manually setting dram voltage/ram speed/timings
