ive got a belkin 10m dongle plugged into my pc, drivers installed ok (the belkin ones), the device is detected in windows ok, my sony headset is detected ok and services are available for it.

The problem I have is that when I connect/activate the Headset service in My Bluetooth Places, the headset connects and begins to ring as if an incoming call is coming in (and it doesnt stop ringing until I disconnect the headset service) - what the hell is going on?? Any ideas much welcome.

ok, the dongle does support the headset profile, I find that when I start the headset profile the bluetooth headset begins to ring constantly - ive found that pressing the function button on the headset twice stops the ringing so im guessing that the headset is stuck in hands-free mode rather than head-set mode, its a Sony DR-BT20NX - anyone have one of these and know how to change the profile? I've checked the manual and its a bit vague on this issue.

I think its Widcomm, on my laptop I use a different usb bluetooth dongle and everything works fine, one difference is is that on the laptop I have two devices listed under bluetooth in device manager, one is the dongle ("bluetooth device") and the other is bluetooth enumerator - the enumerator isnt listed on my pc where i am getting the problem, how can i install this enumerator alongside the bluetooth device?
