having just got a new bike, im after something that I can hook up to my phone to a speaker and mic via bluetooth.

having had an auto com, and was a bit too bulky and a faf, plus, if I were to come off the bike, it would be ripped apart when connected to the bike.

so does anyone know of something like that? Ive heard of bluecom but dont really know if they are any good.

Interphone F4 and the newer F5 get good reviews as does the Scala Rider G4.

Once I get my new bike I shall buy either the F5 or G4, it'll be a case of which ever is cheapest at the time since they are both highly regarded from what I can see.

I have the F5's, ran them last Friday and superb... I've amended my own speakers in though... however, spot on. Amazing how it filters the voice when on coms with another rider, really surprised how clear speech is.

Hmm cheers for the link but I think I'll pay the extra and go Bluetooth. Don't fancy getting tangled up in all them cables at speed.

Might take a punt on this one. Seems a bargain.

Definitely be interested too. Most go for over £100 for a 'decent' bluetooth, so this could be a winner if it does the job well. Mind you, as I don't get many calls, it's more about how music sounds.

Yeah, pretty much sole use for me will be for sat nav. Just makes it safer to use on a bike with audio.

A customer review for the linked headset on eBay, from Amazon. It might well be the bloke who's selling them, who knows, but for the money I am tempted. If it's crap well I've wasted more on many a night out,

Though saying that when I were a lad and started drinking, I'd get drunk, buy a kebab and get a taxi home all for a tenner. Those were the days. You young whipper snappers don't know you're born. Stay off my lawn.

Found it http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=230931511647&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=86047649975 it depends on what sort for cheaper end equipment at the moment all i have any experience with again hope this helps.

I've something similar I have a radio headset in mine permanently with the radio in my pocket as im usually with my buddy I wouldn't bother with a push to talk system on your bars I had mine on for all of 5 minutes before I switched to the vox system.

With the use of a 3.5 to 2.5 (or whatever it is) jack thing I can also use the headset with my phone though :) just unable to press anything... :P

Well the bluetooth kit linked above has just arrived and I shall set it up after work tonight for testing in the morning. I shall report back tomorrow.

First update.

Could not get audio from my phone but my Nexus 7 worked fine. Gave it a little thought and turns out my phones custom ROM had bluetooth issues so I downloaded a new ROM, installed and it now works.

The speakers do sound a little tinny but acceptable (indoors) and I am about to go out for a ride to test it. I shall report back later when I get to work.

To be fair, I'd be surprised if any speaker in your helmet, only a few mm thick would be able to give much base.

Definitely be interested to hear your opinion on it though.
