bluetooth helmet kit

Right, went for a ride before work and here's some observations.

This is most likely a fault with the custom rom on my phone as the release notes do state that there are some issues with bluetooth and some in car bluetooth systems. If I run a sat navprogram whilst playing music, the sound keeps cutting ion and out. If I use them seperately they both work fine. What I shall do in the morrow, is try it with my Nexus 7 and see if they both work fine.

As I said a little tinny, my scala rider chepo version, non phone music compatible, isn't as tinny.

At speeds of 60mph, and a little above, it's fine. I shall test it faster tomorrow.

I haven't tested a phone call on a ride yet so I'll try that tomorrow as well.

So far so good and if it is the custom rom on my phone that's the issue with having sat nav and music at the same time, then I shall keep trying rom's till I find one that works properly.

Unless I run into some major issues, I think for the money it's pretty good.

Considering other options are up around £160-£200, this does sound quite tempting.

I also bought a cheap bike mount for my S3, so I can have my phone mounted on my bike handle bars, so connected to this could be kinda handy. The mount works great on my push bike, so I guess the question is how do I trust it when I hit a pothole at 60mph...

I could always splash out on a 'decent' mount and then sell my Garmin.

Is this the BT800M you are reviewing?

It works fine with my Nexus 7 having both sat nav and music running at the same time, so it's my phones custom ROM that's the issue.

For the money, I'm happy.

I assume that's only for music, not taking phone calls? (Not that I make/receive many calls at all)

Also, part of the appeal of the Bluetooth helmet is it making things easier. This doesn't do this quite so much.

No the BT3030 takes calls too, the microphone is built in to the necklace, all I do is pull over to the side, unzip the jacket press answer and chat away.

not that I take a lot of calls that is, far too busy looking out for obstacles and the rozzers LOL :)

Hi,

I am interested in buying a Sena SMH10D-11, meaning the Sena SMH10-11 (with universal mic) dual pack.

Any idea where I can buy it from the UK (with delivery to Malta, Europe if possible)?

Thanks
