i've seen wireless mighty mouse, will that work in windows vista ok? using built in bluetooth,

keyboard side of things, i've seen the logitech diNovo Edge, is that any good does that work with built in bluetooth ok as well in both os?

also require a ram upgrade 2gb stick for macbook pro?

Dunno, I'd probably recommend the Apple bluetooth keyboard and mighty mouse, although I use a Microsoft Bluetooth Elite keyboard and mouse combo at work.

As for memory, IIRC the MBP uses DDR2-533 RAM but a run through of the memory checker on the site of a well-known memory manufacturer would confirm or deny this.

Also, when dual-booting Ive found that bluetooth peripherals arent ideal as you have to re-pair them every time :(

hmm, repairing only happens on windows not too bad, i don't use it much at all

the apple mouse and keyboard same prices everywhere?

whats max amount of ram a mbp can take?

I found it frequent enough to annoy me, although my annoyance/ impatience factors are perhaps higher than the average bears

Pretty much, though you are eligible for some nice discounts if you are a student/staff in Education

3GB according to Apples official tech specs

When I was looking it was £50 for the mouse alone. :(

There are far better mice out there, but they don't use Bluetooth.

When you have something with 2 USB ports, I really don't want them clogged up with a mouse. :)

*Looks at his MX510 and cries*

Mine uses DDR2-667.

ram its best to go with same size in both slots?

i think 2gb maybe bit on small side, when ram prices are good ;)

looking getting 3gb or 4gb if i can

RAM is DDR2 PC2-5300

I think the max is 3GB, you can put in 4GB, but I dont think it will recognise all of it, i forget the reason why.

EDIT: thats for merom/core 2 duo; core duo won't take more than 2GB

Buy a USB Hub?

I really can't express how balls the Mighty Mouse is. I don't think it works on Windows either, only the wired version does. As for the keyboard, its awesome. Not sure if it works with windows though.

See, as I've just returned from the WoW forums, I'm full immature responses, so I'll keep this short in case I burst out with " Learn to play, n00b.", or "QQ". :p

This response depends what you want from your laptop tbh, if you wish to take a USB hub around with your USB mouse, keyboard and usb drive or whatever, ok then.

Personally, I'd rather not limit myself and would prefer a wireless KB/Mouse combo. You're also saving that little bit of extra battery life.

Just my 2p mind…

I think the WMM works in windows, why wouldn't it?

I'm using the wireless mighty mouse - not an issue here, love the 360 scroll and the side pressing into expose.

But that's my personal opinion.
The mose however, is poor for gaming if that's something you're going to do, in terms of First Person Shooting anyway.

Also, it works in Windows XP - from start up till shut down.
Not sure about vista.

Are you using the MBP in clamshell mode?

If not, I'd say a bluetooth mighty mouse would suffice (not sure about Vista, but given the "once-a-year" approach it will undoubtable become compatible at some stage ;)

I'd say don't buy a keyboard unless you have problems using the built-in keyboard as it's just going to look pap.
