Bluetooth vanishes after standby?

Hi guys,

My Dell D620 running Windows 7 has recently began to play up.

Bluetooth works when I boot the machine, but if I put it into standby or hibernate, when it comes back I have no Bluetooth. It is not even present in Device Manager, its as if its not even installed. The Bluetooth light is on under the screen but thats it.

Rebooting fixes it, but only until I hibernate again.

Any ideas?

Apparently its a common problem in Win 7 - installing the XP drivers for your bluetooth chip should resolve it.

Hmm seems it isn't even a standby thing, I was just looking at it in device manager, turned away for 30 seconds, looked back and now I dont have a Bluetooth module anymore?

It's using Native Windows drivers.

I haven't got anything more specific as I don't have BT on my Win 7 machine. But I do know that at the moment there are a lot people having issues with BT in win 7. Have a look at these threads to see if they help you out:
