Hi,

sometimes when using azureus to download files, after a while the internet totally stops working. I have to restart the modem to make it work again. Checked the usual ports etc and everything seems ok.

One thing is that i'm still using the original surfboard modem got ages ago, original white one, do you think it needs replacing ??

Thanks

I've seen this before with certain bt modems/routers - basically the sheer amount of connections that azureus is opening is killing the modem/router.

The only answer I have found is to get a different modem/router.

I have tried limiting the number of connections etc but ultimately you may just get it to work mildly well on one torrent at a time. To hit the full ul/dl speed i replaced the modem/router and the new one worked like a charm as it was meant to.
