Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

The UBR is the UBR you ae on in your area. Your segment is you UBR. There may be 7 UBR's in an area.

I.e ubr05.knor
i.e ubr05.sheff

Have the same UBR but are in different area's and are no way linked.

Not according to the Blueyonder website, we are scheduled to be upgraded between 27th Sept and 17th October. And the UBR's are due to be upgraded in Gateshead on the 29th & 30th of September.
 
Something is going on as on the newsgroups i usually get 235k/sec maximum, since last night im getting a constant 250k/sec which i have never gotten before. Its as if something has changed. I dont think it will be long. After Benwell in the list its Jarrow and apparently benwell gets done today or tommorow.

hi schnipps,
benwell newcastle has been upgraded today.i telephoned blueyonder and ithey say it will be switched to 10 meg in the next twenty four hours.

looks like most of tyneside will be done in the next week.
my area is west side of city,west road area and its done now and will be switched on in next twenty four hours.

Yeah hopefully the Jarrow UBR's will be done within the next 10 days then I'll be enjoying the benefits of 10mb along with the folk in North Tyneside :D

Are you positive about that Ian?, the reason I ask is that I also live in the same area, and I'm on ubr02, however I'm still on 4meg, and when I phoned Telewest, the girl I spoke to said "you wont be done untill the end of October", mind you she sounded "stupid", and didn't know what she was talking about..

I hope your right mate :D
 
hi.
i telephoned them yesterday and they asked me my postcode and said i would be switched on to the upgraded speeds in the next twenty four hours.so that should be sometime today.
where abouts are you.
