Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

I dont see Gillingham has postponed, dont see it has anything, my last email from them said, all should be done by the 11th october, so heres hoping, if not i am cancelling, until it is complete, has Giganews wants more BW, its taking ages atm to update some groups.
 
If all the UBR's in your area are done.... then its a good chance, your upgrade will be done..... Uddingston in Scotland was one of the first and loving the 10 meg goodness.... it will happen :) Give it time.... :d
 
I am hoping that the new configs are gonna be sent out in as timely a fashion as the first wave of updates :)

I am gonna make sure that I make a note of the time from completion of UBR upgrades to the time it comes on, and then see if it falls into place with other areas that have been switched on or are due to be done soon. I am not really bothered when it comes anymore because it's been over discussed and TBH I'll have 10Mb and nothing to download:(

i live in the west end of newcastle all the ubr upgrades have been done for my area.
have been told by blueyonder that it will be switched on before the 17 october.
will have to wait and see.as they told me last time once upgrades were completed it would be on within 24 hours,still waiting .
 
I have just been on the phone to blueyonder tech support for 1 hour as my modem just could not get an ip address. I was then told that its a pc issue and not a telewest problem, i went through every test possible with the bloke. I get off the phone and low and behold its come back on. It was blatantly a network issue with telewest and not my machine, i hadnt even been on *** dam thing in 2 days. Its almost certainly to do with the network upgrades/maintenance i just dont know how he didnt think it was a possibility.
 
Knowlsey is listed as getting a UBR upgrade tomorrow, UBR 7. I'm on UBR 5...does this mean i'll have to wait ages for my ubr to be upgraded?


BTW - I've been getting terrible slow downs today. Doing a ping clarity.jolt.co.uk i get 500+ pings.

having loads of trouble with my net tonight...bloody hell - i wish they'd say when the other knowsley ubr's will be done :@.
 
Having not read this thread in a while, would really dodgy unstable pings be caused by local upgrades ? My internet just doesn't want to stay stable at the moment, wether or not my housemate is playing world of warcraft :/
