Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

Hey, sorry if this question has already been asked/answered but I really don't have time reading all these pages in this topic and I don't know how to use the search feature to highlight specific posts within topics.

My question is that I recently switched to telewest and bought the Elite package which currently says 4Mb, does that mean I am on 4Mb now and will be upgraded to 10Mb eventually? Or is it only current customers who already had the 2 and 4 meg connections that will get 10Mb?

As stated in the URL a few posts up, the elite package is the new 10mbit service.. enjoy ;)

blueyonder broadband elite - 2Mb and 4Mb become an amazing 10Mb

Our elite services with speeds of either 2Mb or 4Mb will both be increased, to up to 10Mb.

The broadband elite- 2Mb service will also benefit from an increase in upstream speed to up to 384k.

The 10Mb service will cost only £35. Customers on the current 4Mb service will benefit from the new £35 price from October/ November.

I have a feeling Knowsley and Liverpool will get there speed increases next week, surely.

Whats the hold-up? All the upgrades are done, so it's only a matter of sending out the new docsis files to peoples modems.

Come on Telewest, its only a matter of clicking a few keys and pressing send. I feel like I've been waiting months, oh well actualy I have. :)

depends where you are chap, as it seems from the maintenance pages, that birmingham and the midlands cover different areas, under the "head end birmingham" maintenance it mentions harbourne, sutton coldfield etc, whereas under midlands it mentions wolverhampton, dudley, sandwell (area i'm under) it seems the birmingham ones are moving through quicker as its the first i've ever seen sandwell mentioned, so its not looking promising for this side of Xmas :(
 
My birmingham ubr (Kings Norton) can't even cope with 4meg so I don't think there will be 10meg until that is sorted. Hopefuly it will be soon.
 
I'm getting so annoyed now. Work has been finished on our region for well over a week and NOTHING. We've had no information as to when we will receive anything. It is a free upgrade but they could atleast SAY when we were going to get it. Surely they should have a vague idea.

I know how you feel, work on our area (knowsley was completed on the 7th) and still not a mention on the evenfaster page for rollout completion except TBA!

Judging by other areas speed uplifts happened around two weeks after there uBR/network upgrades, so hopefully around the 21st for me.
