Dear OCUK,

As you know, I took part in the Mongol Rally, and raised £15,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I blogged from the road, had lots of call to turn it into a book, so I did. It's been done about 6 months, and a rather famous author had agreed to do the foreword - he'd read the first half, but his own work being released and global travels meant he hasn't finished it, and doesn't know when he will.

So, I come to you. You know the short, 1 line reviews on the back of so many books? aka the blurb?

"Gripping.. couldn't put it down..." New York Times

that sort of thing. I've given up waiting for the real thing, so I was wondering if any of you would like to "one line" review my book? I'm moving away from seriousness, and would like to make it much more amusing.

The funniest 5 get published on the back cover, the next 10 funniest get published inside the book.
You can credit them to your own name/username, and a publication of your imagination.

(Must be family friendly!)

Free copy of the book is here: http://scillymission.com/book/printreadynopictures.pdf if you wanted to actually read some before posting something.

(I'll offer the full version for free on OCUK once it's done anyway)

If you read one book about some English guys from the west country doing the Mongol rally in 2010 named after an in joke about a miscommunication about breakfast you should certainly consider this one.

In all seriousness though I am looking forward to reading this and always enjoy your Mongol/book threads

This one is definitely going on

I was told this book was about 'an adventure through constipation' and, being a connoisseur of all things botty, I dived in with sexy abandon. Chapter titles such as: The lone journey begins; Itching to set off; Another day, another field; Pushing through Kazakhstan; The comforting expanse; and The Final Push only served to whet my appetite. However, upon reading I found that this book is actually about some rally somewhere. Aside from some gentle bumming, there was hardly any rectalisation at all.

Don't make the mistake I did.

Oh that kind of Mongol Rally. I bought this book expecting to see mongoloids rallying against the use of pejorative 70s terms. Imagine my disappointment.

Or

I am a carer for a group of Downs Syndrome children and I am having problems motivating them, this book was no use at all.

I'd love to consider the 2nd, but I risk upsetting people!
