They have 350Nm (258ft.lb) versus the M54B30's 300Nm (222ft.lb). The 9-3/9-5 Aero's weigh more than a 330i. There's really little difference in terms of performance

The reality differs though. The beauty of the Saab Aero, particularly the 9-5, is that when you factor gearing too, there's a massive wedge of torque right when you need it most of the time. On the road when most of us need to overtake cars doing 40-45 in a 60 and the like, the Aero really excels.

Last time I checked so did my 9-5!
