BMW 530i Sport - 3 years on

If you keep your seats and interior that clean, does it not annyo you when drunk friends pile in with kebabs and the like?

New rule with the 530 was no kebabs :p Nobody ever threw up in the car though which was handy.

One thing that still suprises me is how many 'normal' people think its a really expensive car.

He probably doesnt allow open food in his car, i certainly dont and i am less anal than fox interior wise (although i am getting there).

So I'm not the only one then :D ...I don't allow open food or drinks in my car, nor do I allow people who have had enough to drink that I think they may be sick. I never have done, not in any car I've owned, from my Fiesta nearly 8 years ago to the Jaguar today.

I was surprised it was only 8k three years ago, would have thought it would be closer to 12k, but I guess the mileage helped scare away the general public.

Thing is, i cant imagine a scenario where i ever would have drunk people in my car. Generally if anyone likely to get a lift is drunk, i would be drunk too. If i wasnt and they were then i am not charitable enough to turn out late at night to give people lifts :p

It was a combination of the mileage and the fact the guy wanted a quick sale - his replacement car was due the day after I collected it.

Amusingly his replacement car was.... a silver BMW 530i Sport with black leather and a manual box. Brand new again. I paid trade book price for the car.

I quite often drive when I go to the pub, as I don't really drink much, occasionally I have a couple of pints (obviously not when I am driving) but I'm not really much of a drinker, so I often drive. I don't go out to give people lifts, I just pick some friends up, go to the pub and then drop them off when I go home later.

In stark contrast to one of my closest friends who can scarcely comprehend going into a pub and not consuming alcohol :p

This. Although given most of my Uni friends are female it was invariably some crappy club rather than a nice quiet pub but hey you cant win them all :p

I get all my drinks (soft drinks) paid for, for the whole night, and if I do fancy a drink, someone else will drive if I ask anyway, it's not a chore so they don't exactly get a free ride. But yea it's a popular car to ride in :D ...loads of space and extremely confortable, the other guy who typically drives has a Mini, so ...well that's a bit cramped to say the least.

Serious question, I guess that you have the M sport version hence the badges, does anyone try and take the urine that you have M badges on a 530?

Not being up on BMW's I never knew you could get a non M3/M5 with the badge :(

I love the XF actually, yea. They look like really great cars.

Part of me, quite a large part, would take an XFR over an E60 M5..
