On the way home from college last night i was on the a127 all the way home so for about 20 mins, so i went in and out of the fastlane overtaking people doing 80 and i overtake a bmw pull back into the left lane so he then overtakes me and then slows down again so i carry on at the normal 80 and keep overtaking him in the end i got so bloody annoyed i just sat in the fastlane for about 5 mins until my turn off was about a mile away and he followed me in the fastlane the whole time then when i went back into the left hand lane he overtakes me then goes into the lefthand lane then slows down again, so im like what the hell?? but thats not the first time when driving around my general area its always bmw drivers that pull out infront of everyone, its always bmw's that park in awkward places grr
RANT OVER

feel for you man.

I dont feel the need to overtake others that take over me, I genuinely beleave people are astonished when I flash them out at junctions and indicate etc. :p

Dam stereotypes lol

he has his cruise control set a tadge lower then your cruising speed, you overtake him, he get's all riled or you've slowed down a bit and nails the loud pedal, pulls in and drops back to the cruise speed.

It happens all the time if you're on cruise control, I think it's the natural instinct of people to accelerate a smidgen when a car comes along side I think.

HT

In fairness though a lot of people try to overtake BMW's just for the fact that they are BMW's, and people think they will annoy the driver inside. Happens to my dad all the time.

irony!

i was going to post a joke thread about how people love me and my bmw :]

btw, its not always bmw drivers, its just that you notice them more because of the stereotype ;]

In the space of 30 seconds today I saw 3 3 Series and not a single Mondeo.

I'm thinking of buying a Mondeo next instead as I want to be different and stand out from the crowd :p

theres a reason why there are more BMW's than mondeo's ;]
fox in mk3 mondeo shocker? nah, you love the 5 series too much :P

its not as if bmw's are even anything to be proud of :)

bloody 3rd rate german tosh :)

should get a proper car like an audi :)

I find MPV (or whatever they are called now) more irritating than BMW drivers. One was following me through town after work with fogs on (perfectly clear, dry evening in a town centre  ).
When stopped in a queue I flicked my rear fog on an off about a dozen times to try and get them to notice.. the driver didn't do jack. Thankgod for anti-dazzle rear view mirrors!

I find people who drive with one hand while on the phone to the worst, got my back bumper clipped by some nonce in a focus not paying enough attention to what he was doing, he didn't even stop!!!! no damage besides a scratch *grumbles*

BMW's aint the status symbols they once were, a highly tuned hot hatch would still take one, so would a tuned Jap mobile. And lets face it loads of people have them, i see hundreds, middle aged men with small willies need to find a new toy TBH

Depends which one. A highly tuned hot hatch has been able to take a base BMW ever since.. well, ever.
