BMW drivers, why is it ALWAYS bmw drivers!!!!

well id think, although not be sure, that some stock hot hatches would take all but the high end sports versions. i mean golf's run off over 200bhp as do pug gti6's. and a number of others like the Clio v8 sports versions are seriously fast.
In fact i think ive found a new calling in life!
Step 1: Modify a hot hatch for >250bhp whilst looking stock.
Step 2:find arrogant beemer drivers and play 'tag overtaking' for a while.
Step 3:When BMW is overtaking for the eleven-millionth time steadily keep pace.
Step 4: Laugh heartily at said driver as he repeatedly checks that he is in fact in 5th gear and his foot is to the floor, laugh even more as he taps speedo incase it is not working.
Step 5: Put it in 6th and gleefully blast him away giving a chirlish grin and wave as you do so, and even a cheeky flash of the indicators.
Step 6: Pray you didnt go through any speed cameras en route.

Two 'huhs' there - firstly 306 GTi-6's regularly run over 200bhp? How? It's a highly stretched N/A 2.0 engine, there is not much more potential past stock...

Are you prooving that your calling is in fact to be childish? A dangerous driver?
You would not be able to blast away in 6th gear in any car, does this in fact proove you know very little about cars?
quite easy to get 200+ bhp out of a gti6 lump with set of cams and a remap[TW]Fox said:

How does someone complaining about another persons driving become another "Which is faster" "Which is more powerful" thread.
Sometimes for no apparent reason, we end up upsetting someone on the road and they start to behave usually in quite a dangerous fashion.
If we are stereotyping, I often find its golf gti or leon cupra drivers that insist on blasting past me on dual carriageways and motorways. TBH I can't be bothered driving fast on these types of roads becuase they are pretty boring roads and its much easier to relax and let everyone behave badly around me.
Not so long ago, I managed to upset a golf driver and he was a cats whisker away from crashing into a bunch of workmen. Soley down to the fact he felt my driving was too slow in very thick fog (we were still doing a fair old speed BTW)

BMW drivers are some of the most dangerous ive known, they are forever pulling out of queues and trying to overtake 2 or three cars, sure maybe the car can do it but what about when someone else wants to overtake there too? What do you expect him to do, sit behind the queue of slow moving vehicles for miles on end becuase you personally disapprove of people with performance cars using the performance to overtake more than one car? Hell I've managed it safely in a 2 litre Mondeo on several occasions I'm sure a 330i could do it even more safely.
Some of the stuff you posts astounds me, you are saying don't overtake more than one car becuase one of the cars you are overtaking might want to overtake? HUH?
I love the way people hide behind the claim of a joke when they are showed up - have you ever driven a 6 speed car? You won't find many you can pull away in 6th with, it's normally purely an overdrive gear for economy - most will go no faster in 6th than they will in 5th.

I agree with the fact of it being safer to overtake more cars because it is faster, it is when they try and overtake too many cars and end up still on the other side of the road while rapidly approaching a corner that it really grates my cheese.
I've seen people try and overtake round a blind corner about three times on different trips between Newcastle and Scotland, all three were driving - you guessed it - BMWs.
