Have you checked the fader control on the radio first?

whitecrook said:You car does have an amp otherwise you wouldn't hear anything. The amp may be located within the head unit, but you still have an amp. Which will be fused, even inside or on he back of the HU.

Got an update, took some bits out of the dash to have a look round, found a 6 pin power plug (female) just laying about and a 3.5mm jack?! on a fairly long cable, any idea what this is? almost like an aux in but my guess is ive pulled it out of something that feeds the speakers!
