BMW E46 H7 headlight problem

I think I'm just going to replace the outer H7 bulbs.

Why, when they are not the problem

Isn't the sidelight a 501 bulb located up in the top inner corner of the outer of the 2 lights? I'm going on google images here.

Have a look at the back of the headlight.

I'm sure the sidelights are grey connectors. Twist and pull it out.

It's a small bulb.

Get another one.

Here's a pic of the compact headlight...

The two bulbs I can see are H7s.

The black connector just up from the alignment adjustment knob in the center under the yellow sticker.

Well, it was a sidelight. Now both replaced. All cool. Also replaced my low beams. Much brighter. All set for the winter hopefully! The high beams look a lot more difficult to get at.
