BMW Protect X

nope, do it yourself or get a pro to properly seal and protect your car after buying. Ceramic coating preferably.

Just get a decent detailer to apply some Gyeon or GTechniq or similar.

I did the Gyeon costing myself, but I'm aware that not everyone is that bothered about car cleaning/doesn't have the space or time.

It'll cost less and be a far better finish.

They offered me it as part of my finance PCP deal...Don't think I'll go for it....Thanks

If it's free, then do it. Why wouldn't you? Even if you eventually get it detailed properly later on, it's free...and it's fairly decent

I got it free with the F10 and it's not bad, I've cleaned my car three times in 5 months, just a foam and shampoo job and the beading has been excellent throughout that time. I've no doubts it will wear off in a year, maybe less, but when that happens I'll just go back to using a decent wax and sealant. Inside it's been good to have with a toddler spilling stuff on floor mats, just comes right off.

I'd rather minimise the amount of times the dealership are in contact with the car. Turn it down, get it done properly if you're bothered, otherwise just wax it...
