Ho ho ho only kidding - anyone welcome - just sticking to forum convention
Anyway - been looking at Style 37s as eventually I will have to have some. Sometimes they look like a 'normal' painted finish all over, but sometimes it looks like only the spokes are painted and the dish and outer rims are actually an unpainted polished finish. A few sets I saw on German Ebay had the dish/rims taken to almost a mirror polished finish - strongly contrasting with the spokes.
Anyone know what they looked like from the factory? If it's supposed to be an unpainted polished finish on the dish/rim, and say you pick up a tired/kurbed old set with a view to getting them refurbed, is it possible to get the correct polished finish on the rims? Or do kurbing marks have to be filled, therefore the refurbed wheel has to have a painted finish to cover the filler (as you can see I've no idea how wheels are refurbed)?
Cheers
