BMW S58 G8x break in service question

Hi,

My g87 m2 is booked in with BMW for its “break in” service next week.

I have kept the car under 4500rpm, but is it best to take it to redline a few times? It is currently on 1100 miles btw.

Just never had to break in any car before, as I’ve always purchased used haha.

From BMW themselves:

Up to 1000km (~600 miles)
- do not exceed 5000rpm / 170km/h (~106mph)
- avoid kickdowns and driving under full load
- Do not use Launch Control

From 1000km to 2000km (600-1200 miles)
- drive with alternating rotational and vehicle speeds
- do not exceed 6000 rpm / 210km/h (~130mph)
- avoid full load in gears 1-3

At 2000km / 1200 miles
- have break in service done.
