After seeing that pic it makes me wonder how people can say my car is ugly.

Your car doesnt know what it is...the M coupé KNOWS what it is. Its manly!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Love them to be honest,so a le mans blue(i think) one in a carpark in edinburgh and hit a semi. :(

A basic Z3 isn't a bad alternative to something like an MX5, less camp and girly, those M coupes are at least 15K though, and that getting into early E46 M3 teritory.

S2000, Boxster, MX5 etc etc
I disagree. Having driven all of them I can easily say that out of all of them, the Z4 is the best overall car. It's all down to personal opinion though.

Out of interest, have you driven any of these?

I wouldn't say the boxster is a better all round car, neither is the MX5, can't really comment on the S2K.

The boxster was badly built imo, the engine noise whilst nice on full chat, sounded like a bag of spanners on idle, and the whole drive left me feeling a little "meh", it was ok, but certainly not great.

The MX5 is an out and out sportscar, but in many ways, its downfall as a better "overall" car. It's just far too focussed to be an "overall" day to day car, not as comfortable or as quiet as the Z4, and certainly not as pleasant a place to sit. However the MX5 wins hands down as a drivers B-road car.
