BMW Z4 thread

Anyone answer my questions on modding the interior trim and steering wheel to the ones in the later cars ?

What about tuning other than supercharging etc, any easy chipping/exhaust/intake options ?

I'm not quite sure about the interior trim but I reckon it would be a simple enough mod. I can't see why it would be difficult to do.

However, if you really want a facelift model ('06 on I think) you might as well save up a few extra quid and get one with the 3.0Si. The Si engine is such an improvement and worth the premium.

Other tuning options as far as I'm aware aren't really that plentiful. Supersprint do an exhaust as do Milltek. I haven't seen any RR proof but claimed gains from these seems to be around the +10bhp mark.
There are also various air boxes and intakes which should up the power a wee bit and give a better sound. Remaps aren't going to give massive gains but I have seen one claiming to bring the 3.0Si from 265bhp up to 285bhp. I'm not sure about the 3.0i but AFAIK it has the same engine as the 330i so the mods available for it should be adaptable to the Z4.

Cheers and thanks for the links. I'm coming round to the fact that I won't be happy with anything other than the 3.0 si so I'm gonna hang on a bit until they get sub 20k and look again then.
