BNP ballerina

Well, I don't think that it is all of their viewpoints. I know a Hindu in a mixed race relationship with full consent from her parents. But if their viewpoint is that their son/daughter shouldn't have a relationship they YES    It is discrimination based on race = racism.

Enough mad smilies for ya? ;)

Ok I'll rephrase. Do you think that in percentage terms whites are more or less likely to intermarry than Muslims, Hindhus, and Sikhs?

I only use  to parody Chronos-X.

There is nothing in Islam that prevents a black person to marry a white one etc...
Oh by the way why do I see so few Blacks married to Pakistanis? In fact why do I never see any but a Pakistani married to a Pakistani?

I have no idea. But you are comparing a racial group (white) with people of different religions (which could be any racial group). I don't see what guessing a percentages would achieve.

Really? Ever seen a non Indian Hindhu or Sikh? Hmmmmmm can't say that I have. I wonder if that is because they do NOT intermarry......

Then again I have never seen a mixed race Muslim marriage either. Seen plenty of mixed marriages, but very few that are based on religion.

I'd never even heard of the UAF until I read this thread, who the hell are the ANL though?

Peaceful protest, can't see a problem with it personally. Can't see how it is newsworthy though.

ANaL are the Anti Nazi League. Quite an aggressive bunch of people.
Trying to get someone kicked out of their job for holding political views that you don't agree with is wrong.
Harassing a person who doesn't agree with you is wrong.

Ah..ok, I learn something new! :)

Maybe, not the first time it has happened I'll wager and doubtful it will be the last. Comes with the territory if you're a public figure nowadays.

This person is only a ballerina though, hardly a public figure. She is being hounded for her beliefs. That is not acceptable.

She's been quite happy to talk to the press, comes with the territory as far as I'm concerned. If she was so bothered about she wouldn't have talked to the Daily Mail. No such thing as bad publicity eh? I bet the ballet is fully booked now ;)

You've posted here. Does that give people licence to hound you at your place of work?
These people hounding her claim to hate prejudice and bigotry. They are demonstrating that by hounding a person for her beliefs. Irony? Hypocrisy? Or both :)

I don't see anyone complaining about the BNP members who attended the ballet, so are you saying that providing people who go support her political views that is ok, but those that don't are wrong?

In what way are they supporting her views? Are they there with banners demanding that more BNP people be employed? Or are they simply watching the show?
How many BNP supporters are there "supporting" her and are they there because of the morons from ANAL etc are screaming their bile at her?

I've no idea as to numbers, the reports just mention BNP members. I'm just intrigued why it is that the BNP can capitalise on her support for them, yet a group with opposing political views can't. She is the one who sat down with the Daily Mail after the story broke in the Guardian to "tell her story", she needn't have done that, but she did. She can't now start crying about it.

So these BNP members might just have gone to watch the show? They might not have actually shouted abuse and waved placards and demanded her employment be terminated.
How are the BNP capitalising on her support for them exactly? Does she have a BNP logo on her tutu?
I imagine that after she was abused by the ANAL supporters the DM approached her for her story.
So basically the ANAL supporters have abused and harrassed a woman for daring to not share their views (how hypocritical lol) and as a result the BNP have sent some people to view the show in defiance and the woman has (after being demonised in the Guardian) spoken to the DM.
Wow!!! I can see how her abuse is so totally warranted. Right on brother.

Check out the BNP website if you want to see how they capitalise on it!

What's all this abuse crap? You make out as if she has been physically assaulted or something. Mountain out of a bloody molehill!

LOL:) Is THIS the article you refer to? The 50 placard wavers shouting at her and the ANAL members of the audience disrupting the performance?

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/12012007/325/ballerina-dances-political-storm.html

I don't read the BNP website. Hence it is hardly capitalising on the event is it.
Similarly the article answers your BNP supporters numbers question. It mentions 1 person from the BNP there. He was called a "facist" and a "racist dog". That is abuse :)

Hey check this out for unbelieveable irony. After all facism is about forcing everyone to adopt one way of thinking :)
"There is no place for fascist ideas in the arts," said Donna Guthrie, 36, a campaigner for the group. "We're calling on her to resign from the party or leave the company."
ROFL goddamned hypocritical PC toerags.

LOL is that a headscarfed muslim at the front there? Quite happy to have freedom of worship isn't she, but oh no don't let the English National Ballet employ the BNP members grrrrr, freedom to be a muslim, frredom to wear muslim headwear, no freedom to be a BNP member. There was me believing that it is always white middleclass people who made up this PC crap and yet the picture seems to show that this is not the case.

I know you are on a bit of a Guardian crusade, but I'm not sure why you feel she was demonised in the article.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,,1988389,00.html

Oh really.... lol
The lead ballerina named as a member of the British National party during a Guardian investigation faces protests by anti-fascist groups today.

A guardian investigation hehehehehehe. No the Guardian aren't trying to dig dirt on the BNP. The guardian did not name her in their paper as a member of the BNP in an attempt to stir up problems either huh....

Still working on your condemnation of the hammer blows to the head of a 15 year old are you?

Or did you accidentally post about the ballerina in the hammer thread ;)
