im after a board that will overclock an e5200 as much as possible, i was under the impression that i had to go for a p45 chipset like an asus p5q am i mistaken????

theres little difference between the P43 and P45 other than the P45 supports crossfire where as the P43 doesnt, for doing it on the cheap just get a P43 board

Actually how about this? It's a fantastic board and a very good overclocker. I have had a E2180 to 3.6Ghz on one and it was the cpu stopping me from going any further. Gigabyte is better than Asus in my opinion. I certainly would'nt touch an Abit board with a bargepole no matter how cheap it was.

This is a spin off from his other post of spec me a comp where he originally had a P5QE so it doesnt need to be "that" cheap, I wouldnt go near Abit myself, not even with your barge pole, lol
