whats the fuzziness around the ball ? (left side) a little to washed out for my tastes (top background)

but still nice reflection i like reflections..lol

Glitch aside, the first thing I thought was that it is photographic evidence of the river Styx. ;)
My second thought once I'd double checked the mythology is that it is more "in tune" with the river Cocytus.

cracking idea. :D

I like it..but the top of the photo hurts my eyes while i try to focus on the boat.

Thanks for your comments.

I wanted the image to fade into perfect white. So that it looks a little bit like an illustration on white paper...Sorry its causing your eyes some pain ZG002 :)

I will have to go back to it and do the selection around the bouy more accurately, it was a little hard to do on the left because its highlight merged with the background visually. But you're right it could look better.

I am with FStop11 on the spot colouring. I hardly ever use it myself and I considered full monochrome and boat only, but it just lost something.

BloodyL: Consider this image renamed from the boring 'Boat' that was all I came up with to 'Cocytus'. :) Thanks for your insight and knowledge !

I have never purchased plugins, i do use the supplied plugins with photoshop but have never felt the need to purchase additional.

However last year visited the Focus on digital show at the Birmingham NEC and see a demonstration on Fluid mask (Just google it)

I have not looked back its cheap.. and brilliant. well worth the purchase if you often have cutouts to do..

I use it on portraits a lot. and it handles fine details such as hair like you would not beleieve!

But even trees it great for for replacing skys. no detail is an issue..

The only *** to describe it is like painting by numbers.. it maps the image and seperate each area. You simple choose the area's to remove. the fine details like trees and hair you have a special brush that you just go over the area with.. the software handles the rest..

They have great tuturials on their sight. (Watch for your self how easy it is)

Take a look.. its brilliant..

Downloaded the trial of Fluid Mask, at first sight it looks very good, thanks for sharing! :)

No problem,

Their are a couple of others that do the same thing, i tried one from a company called OnOne, (we see this at focus on digital aswell but did not seem to be as slick) and corel trace.

I found fluid mask to the best.. but its down to personall prefence so it may be worth looking at others also.

Cheers
