I really enjoyed his latest album, it was one of my favourites of 2012.

As was the song 'Please Forgive My Heart'. Awesome song.

If the stories about his marriage to Barbara Cooke was true then he shouldn't get an RIP.

What have music artists private lives got to do with anything, it's not like he's Ian Watkins or Gary Glitter? He was just a guy who didn't know how to keep it in his pants and was off his face on drugs all the time like a ton of musicians back then and now?
His particular low points of which you're thinking were decades ago, which doesn't make it right, but still, give the guy a break and let his music (which is awesome for the most part) do the talking.
